Separation of Identity & Transaction
Papillae completely separates your public identity from your transaction activity through a dual-key system:
Master Wallet: Your regular BNB Chain wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, etc.) acts as your master identity. This wallet is only used for:
Initial account creation
Authorizing deposits into the privacy pool
Receiving final withdrawals back to public addresses
Stealth Address: A cryptographically derived address that holds and transacts your private funds. Key properties:
Mathematically linked to your master wallet through deterministic derivation
Impossible to link back to master wallet by external observers
Can be regenerated from master wallet signature at any time
Acts as your identity within the privacy pool
Spending Key: Controls fund movement from your stealth address. Required for:
Creating private transfers
Generating withdrawal transactions
Signing proofs for fund spending
Viewing Key: Allows read-only access to encrypted transactions. Can:
Decrypt incoming payment notifications
Calculate private balances
Monitor transaction history
Be shared with auditors without giving spending ability
This separation means:
Public on-chain analysis cannot connect your master wallet to stealth address activity
Even if someone knows your master wallet, they cannot see your private transactions
You can share viewing access without risking fund security
Recovery is possible using only your master wallet
